Mirna Hajjar, MD
Dr. Hajjar graduated from Saint-Joseph University in Lebanon. She completed her Neurology Residency at the University of Connecticut and Hartford Hospital, where she also served as Chief Resident. She completed her fellowship in Neuromuscular EMG at the Lahey Clinic. Dr. Hajjar is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Her clinical interests include adult general neurology and neuromuscular disorders. |

Sally E. K. Kirkpatrick, MD
Dr. Kirkpatrick’s clinical interests include cognitive and behavioral neurology of children and adults, epilepsy, headache, Tourette’s Syndrome, and other borderlands of neurology and psychiatry. She studied English at Wesleyan University, graduating with High Honors. She attended the Medical College of Pennsylvania, and took an internship in Internal Medicine at Boston City Hospital. Following this, her training in neurology was at the Harvard-Langwood program, a join program of Brigham & Woman’s, Beth Israel, Children’s and NE Deaconess Hospitals.

Kandan Kulandaivel, MD
Dr. Kandan Kulandaivel joined Neurology Associates in 2010 after completing his fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, New Hampshire. Dr. Kulandaivel had previously completed a residency in Neurology at Drexel College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and medical school at Madras Medical College in Chennai, India. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. His clinical interests include epilepsy and EEG interpretation. He spends his free time with his family and watching the Phillies.

Deviyani Mehta, MD
Dr. Mehta completed medical school from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India. She underwent Neurology Residency at New Jersey Neuroscience Institute at JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey, and Vascular Neurology Fellowship from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her clinical interest includes inpatient adult neurology with special interest in cerebrovascular disorders. |

Adenike A. Opaleke, MD
Dr. Opaleke received her MD in Nigeria and continued her residency and
neurology fellowship in pediatrics in New York. She also trained in Georgia
with a specialization in epilepsy. Dr. Opaleke is a Diplomate in the
American Academy of Pediatrics as well as American Academy of Neurology
and Psychiatry.
Dr. Opaleke enjoys reading, computer technology, basketball and spending
time with her family and friends.

Markos Poulopoulos, M.D.
Dr. Poulopoulos is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, with special training in Parkinson Disease and related disorders (tremor, dystonia, chorea, myoclonus, and ataxia). He provides deep brain stimulation programming and adjustment. He also provides treatment with Botulinum Toxin injections.
Dr. Poulopoulos completed Medical school in Greece and an additional four years of training in medicine in England. He completed his Neurology training at the University of Connecticut and did his Fellowship training at the Center for Parkinson Disease and Related Disorders at Columbia University in New York City. |

James W. Sears, MD
Dr. Sears is director of our Sleep Disorders Center and director of EEG services. He is board-certified in clinical neuro-physiology, certified also with American Board of Sleep Medicine, and is a Fellow of American Electroencephalography. Dr. Sears received his MD from University of Bologna, Italy.
