About NAEM

Our practice currently includes 9 board-certified neurologists with a broad range of specializations.

We operate Sleep Disorders Centers in Bangor and Lincoln, Maine. Our Sleep Disorders Center in Bangor was the first center in eastern Maine to be accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and the only such center in the region to evaluate children under the age of 5. Dr. James W. Sears, a diplomate of sleep medicine and board-certified sleep specialist, is director of our sleep disorder center.

Our EEG Laboratory was the first in the nation to be accredited by the lab accreditation board of ABRET (American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists.)

We are affiliated with EMMC, St. Joseph Hospital, and run clinics at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth, and Sebasticook Valley Hospital in Pittsfield.
